We produce and rase our own potch Koekkoek layer hens that help us produce eggs and sell direct to the public. We have been producing these chicks for the past 5 years and continue to grow year on year. Apart from producing eggs, layers are also sold to public when they reach out of lay stage.
We produce our own eggs, pack them, and sell them directly to villages and traders. Our eggs compete with the best local retailers and beat over 90% of retail sale in both price and quality.
Baranga Farmstead have breed of sybok, Boere and nguni/mbuzi within our small holdings. These products are raised for the purpose of meat production to various cultural and religious grouping across the country.
The Farmstead raise its own Ross 308 broilers from day old into maturity and sell direct to retailer, villagers, and informal traders within the community.
Because we understand that Cornish chickens are favourite stable chicken food in these communities and that they excellent meat birds with their extremely large breasts, and they can provide a large amount of tender and flavourful meat, we have started stockist business for them and can be ordered directly from the farmstead.
